1 – CSIRO Kick Start Grant
This grant is a matched funding grant up to $50,000. Specially designed for SMEs and Australian startups, this grant is ideal for funding research activities that develop and grow your business with CSIRO. You need an annual turnover of $1.5 million, be registered for GST, and have an Australian Company Number (ACN). Your research projects must be 12 months or longer, and you can apply here.
2 – Entrepreneurs’ Programme
This programme provides funding for entrepreneurs through Business Growth Grants and the Accelerating Commercialisation Fund. The grant covers up to 50% of any project’s cost, with a $500,000 cap. It includes free expert advice for entrepreneurs on their projects. There’s also the chance to acquire an expert-in-residence grant of up to $25,000. You can apply here.
3 – Export Market Development Grant (EMDG)
The EMDG is for current or aspiring exporters across a broad range of products and industries. Eligible applicants will be actively encouraging inbound tourism and improve outbound markets from Australia. Any business that spent $15,000 or more promoting exports can be reimbursed for 50% of any costs that exceed $5,000. To qualify, your business must have an annual income of below $50 million a year.
